Getting Prescriptions Filled

dotted line

Prescriptions can be filled at any of the more than 50,000 participating pharmacies across the United States and its territories. Members need to show their member card the first time they fill a prescription at a pharmacy. They won’t need to fill out any paperwork—the pharmacy should file the claim. They simply pay the applicable amount. In most cases, it will be one amount for each 34-day supply.

At Regence we pay attention to the things that cause prescription costs to rise. We ask that you get involved and support the pharmacies that are willing to help control future costs. Attached is a list of independent pharmacies, with locations by City/State, and chain pharmacies who have the lowest rates. Depending on your member's prescription benefit, their cost many not change now, but in the long run, supporting these pharmacies will help keep pharmacy benefit affordable.

Mail-order is designed for people taking maintenance medications. If our members order their medications by mail, most benefits allow up to a 90-day supply. However, they should allow up to two weeks for delivery. Learn more specifics about our mail-order service, download mail-order forms or view mail-order FAQs.

Keep in mind: The prescription benefit does not cover all medications. Please refer members to their benefit brochure for specific coverage information. Also, a handful of medications require prior authorization before they are covered. Please see the plan-specific Prior Authorization List to view those medications.
